December is the month when...

December is the month when you are either really happy to have heated underground parking or you really wish you had heated underground parking.

I posted a video talking about how December reminds me that time is precious and I want to share with you why.

Snow falls fast.
Ice covers the car.
Little chores suddenly feel too big.

Yesterday my dad told me he was tired from shovelling.
He wasn’t complaining.
He was just being honest.

The grandparents were all at our house.
They were getting ready to walk with us to my son’s Christmas concert.
The house felt warm and busy.
Everyone was excited to see him on stage.

But my dad’s words stayed with me.
Shovelling took his energy.
It took time he could have spent on something that mattered more.

I started to think about how our days fill up.
So many tasks drain us.
We do them without stopping to ask why.
But not everything deserves our time.

Family moments matter.
Watching your child sing matters.
Sharing a walk matters.
Feeling present matters.

December shows us this in a quiet, powerful way.

Regards,

Alexander
